Research Analyst, Corporate Bond Valuation Analyst

By combining your talent with our strength, we can achieve great results.Your job, as part of a Single Security Research team of 20 analysts, is to estimate the value of stocks and rate them, working with the strategist and investment research committee. You are an integral part of the research team, making individual contributions and sharing ideas with others around the world. You form investment cases, maintain financial models, and support their opinions with published reports tailor-made for private clients. You leverage their company knowledge by determining the credit quality of bonds issued by companies they follow. You operate in many ways, such as a buy-sider and have direct access to sell-side research. Your involvement in published and verbal communication of ideas will be made to a very large audience of financial advisers and their clients. You provide published relative value recommendations on U.S. corporate bonds. In addition, you provide recommendations geared towards the retail investor on U.S. credit strategy. You conduct relative value analysis on U.S. corporate bonds, formulating recommendations, publishing several bond lists, and communicating investment ideas to Financial Advisors (FAs) and clients. In these lists, you (1) inform clients of current bond recommendations for the entire bond universe; (2) identify preferred bonds for portfolio construction; and (3) communicate our top investment ideas. You work closely with corporate analysts, strategists, and leverages for their views in arriving at investment conclusions. In addition, you actively manage our bond databases, including adding and removing bonds from the coverage universe, checking for bond liquidity, and Blue Sky status. REQUIREMENTS
Basic Qualifications:You are a College Graduate with a strong background in Credit Research, Credit Strategy or Portfolio Management. You have at least 5-10 years experience in research analysis role. You are a professional who can flourish within a challenging and demanding work environment. You are very knowledgeable about your industry sector, and are able to forecast the direction of profits correctly about two-thirds of the time. Most importantly, you are able to accurately convert industry knowledge into investment opinions that help our clients preserve and increase wealth. You are fluent in all aspects of financial analysis and you have an understanding corporate financial statements and the accompanying footnotes. You are able to develop streamlined models and determine an estimated value of stocks. You have experience and a positive reference regarding team building skills. You are willing to pass Series 7, 63, 86 and 87 before communicating with clients on research.
