Programming Manager, Interactive Technologies
Houston, TXThe chosen candidate will be responsible for managing the Web Programming and System Integration team. This individual must have experience in programming complex projects, and will need to learn all the functions for his/her programming team. The candidate must ensure that projects are conducted in a timely manner in adherence with ICON SOPs and appropriate regulations and to liaise with other department and project managers as necessary to achieve this. In this role, the candidate will keep the department manager and project manager informed of project status; liaise with clients on project related matters as needed and ensure all necessary training is provided to your staff to improve their job performance and knowledge; and develop and implement system wide standards to improve efficiency and promote consistent designs. The successful candidate must have the capacity to complete projects and other duties on time with no supervision and to serve as designee, when assigned, for other responsibilities for the department. The person in this role will also be responsible for developing working procedures, standard operating procedures, and training for the department; will be responsible for interviewing and hiring decisions regarding candidates in the programming group; and will be responsible for determining when new positions are needed.The qualified candidate will have a college degree or similar experience. The candidate must have experience managing a team of at 5 or more. Extensive programming experience is necessary. Required technical experience includes: SQL and T-SQL. The ideal candidate will have experience in 1 or more of the following programming languages: ASP, ASP.NET, Visual Basic, DTS, and/or Data Transfers. The chosen individual must be capable to successfully balance multiple projects and timelines in addition to liaise successfully with other team members and clients. Extensive problem solving skills for tasks/functions related to his/her group are essential. Must be able to travel 10-15%.
