The Global Search Manager will oversee the development and management of GWS’s global search strategy, including but not limited to, search engine optimization, search marketing and potential uses for emerging search technologies. This individual will be responsible for championing our global search strategies across all levels of the organization and ensuring that GWS delivers maximum scalability and profitability on both a regional and national level. This individual will ideally develop an expertise for “everything search” related and provide insight into how best to integrate search optimization and search marketing strategies to effectively and cost efficiently deliver increased room sales revenue for the enterprise.
Manager functions include, overseeing the development and execution of all top tier search campaigns, establishing internal bid, ad copy and keyword expansion strategies based on internal objectives, acting as a key liaison with search partners and interactive agency, establishing Starwood Hotels global search optimization strategy, overseeing Cyveillance and paid intrusion/trademark infringement monitoring and identifying emerging technologies and search trends and communicating this information to all relevant parties.
Essential Functions:
All functions will be executed in cooperation with the internal marketing and brand liaison teams. It is essential that these departments operate in conjunction with one another to support the brand strategic goals and deliver the highest level of quality and service.
Management of Top Tier Search Relationships, Strategies & Campaign Execution (40%)
Oversee the development and execution of all Top 1 & 2 tier search engines campaigns across all Starwood brands. Work closely with the interactive agency and search partners to ensure Starwood is maximizing its global search opportunity and taking advantage of search enhancements and trends.
Management of Global Search Engine Optimization Strategy & Execution (35%)
Establish Starwood Hotels global search optimization strategy and execution plan to fully capitalize on our organic growth opportunity. Oversee vendor search optimization vendor relationships and work closely with the technical group to evaluate resource requirements and timing for executing the SEO strategy
Search Marketing Bid, Ad Copy and Keyword Expansion Strategies (15%)
Establish internal bid, ad copy and keyword expansion strategies based on internal campaign objectives. Optimize campaigns for maximum R:E and provide feedback and new ideas for increasing scalability on the campaign.
Identify Emerging Search Technologies and Trend (10%)
Identify emerging technologies and search trends and provide formal recommendations for how best to leverage these opportunities within the enterprise. Develop internal communication network with Field Marketing Team to distribute key learning’s and tactics across all brands.
Supportive Functions:
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be determined by the online marketing team.
REQUIREMENTS
Three years of online search program management or interactive marketing experience.Deep understanding of online creative, online media management, creative production process and search engine marketing.Project management experience.Travel industry or travel client experience a plus
