Laboratory Technician Level 1

Particle Technology Labs (PTL) is a fine particle contract service laboratory that performs various analytical services to meet the needs of their clients. Industries served include pharmaceutical, foods, pigments, health and beauty and environmental.

Our laboratory contains over 30 instruments from many of the leading major manufacturers which gives us the capability to characterize a broad range of particle sizes as well as conduct various other physical characterization tests including:Suface AreaPorosimetryDensityPowder Rheology
Due to our continued growth we are looking for dynamic individuals to join our research team as Level 1 Laboratory Technicians (LT-1). The LT-1 performs a broad range of particle characterization tests and procedures including particle size, surface area, image analysis and physical measurements in a cGMP environment.

The qualified candidate will have a B.S. degree in Chemistry, Material Science or related sciences and have strong analytical skills and attention to detail. He/she will be comfortable working in a fast paced environment and be able to work independently on multiple projects.

REQUIREMENTSProvides particle characterization service and testing to clients under the supervision of the Laboratory Manager in accordance with quality standards. Utilizes accepted industry procedures and techniques in line with company policy requirements.Interacts with clients verbally, and in writing when required.Presents analytical findings and reports in writing to Laboratory Management/authorized trained analyst for review.Completes company-required forms in connection with quality assurance standards, (cGMP environment) project assignments, training, or reviews.Responsible for full project execution of assigned projects.
B.S. in Materials Science, Chemistry or related science.Laboratory experience including sample prep.Strong computer skills.Excellent verbal and written communications skills.Attention to detail.
