LABORATORY ASSISTANT

Purpose: A food testing laboratory is currently looking for an entry level Microbiology Technician to join their team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has recently graduated and is look for opportunities within a food laboratory.

-This candidate will be responsible for running microbial analysis of food products.
-Receiving samples to be tested for pathogens or chemistry.
-Modifying testing media, weights, and prep instructions for samples.
-Determining testing methods and dilutions for pathogen testing and shelf-life testing.
-Calling clients regarding samples and test instructions.

Contract: 90 working days to hire

Pay: $11.50-$12/hr.

Shift: It is a 2nd shift position between 12pm - 9pm; total 40 hours per week


Requirements:
-Bachelor's in Science is preferred, however we will consider any qualified candidate
-Someone that is extremely detailed -Likes working in a fast paced environment
-Has great communication/customer service skills (Talking to our clients is a possibility)
-Ability to be flexible in adhering to client requests
