Researcher / strategy developer to work with head of firm in testing and implementing mechanical (technical and fundamental) trading strategies in markets world-wide - Strategies that we trade are long term and very short term, equities and futures/FX world-wide.

Top performing hedge fund in midtown Manhattan seeks star research analyst from a top school, 3-5 years of research experience, a passion for finance, to work with on stock equity, futures, and FX cash trading signals for trading. The ideal candidate has research experience and talent a desire to work directly with Quantitative researchers and Traders in identifying business opportunities and formulating solutions to exploit them. Firm actively searches for highly recruited grads from top schools unhappy in their huge corporate employers, seeking to make an immediate impact in their workplace, or senior research analysts (Quant) with knowledge of futures, options, and other derivatives, statistics, market knowledge and experience.

The senior research analyst will work directly with the business. Firm requires a strong background in finance, mathematics, engineering, or hard sciences along with solid understand of equity and futures markets, particularly FX cash, and the ability to learn whatever is required to complete a given task on time and on budget. Strong communications skills and a background in financial services is a must. The successful candidate will take responsibility and ownership for their solutions. Innovation and the ability to think *outside the box* are also a must. Strong Excel and pivot tables, statistical analysis, market theory and fundamentals, micro-and macroeconomics, econometrics, and financial math are all necessary. REQUIREMENTS
Required: Ivy League, or top school with high GPA (3.2+), and strong quantitative research skills, Must be diligent, must be reliable, must be able to take direction well and work within a team environment.

- Previous strategy development experience is a must (technical or fundamental).
- Must have strong interest in testing strategies and be self motivated
- Must have VB experience
- Must have good math feel in order to express ideas in mathematical formulae/ common sense and not pure mathematical
- Extremely reliable in terms of programming and detail oriented
- Understand the big picture of the markets
- Good communication skills.
- Must be able to work on his own and meet with head of firm once or twice a week to go over testing results clearly and precisely
- Must be willing to sign confidentiality agreement
