Excellent Opportunity as a Staff Analyst

Temp to hire position open in Rancho Cordova office for an Administrative Assistant that would be assisting in the bid and estimating departments (local & headquarter offices) as well as helping out with the clerical duties in the office.Looking for candidates that have strong communication skills and intermediate level skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint – must also be able to utilize these programs. Preparing Bids and Estimates is not a requirement, however being exposed to these areas is a plus as well as being comfortable working with spreadsheets and proofing/writing. Organizational skills and attention to detail are also an important part of this position as well as being self directed and having a willingness to learn.The job duties would be as follows:
1. Organize and submit bids and proposals to owners.2. Develop and submit pre-qualifications documents.3. Develop power point presentations.4. Work closely with estimators to create spreadsheets for bids.5. Answer phones when necessary.6. Assist in filing when necessary.7. Participate in staff meetings.8. Maintain bid schedule.9. Assist Project Management staff as needed with:a. Submittalsb. Schedulesc. RFI’sd. Change Order preparation and processinge. Preparation and processing of accounts receivable invoices.f. Entering job cost budgets in accounting program.Working hours would be 8-5, Monday through Friday. Salary would start around $15/hr.
