The Carroll County Health Department seeks an individual who either: (1) is licensed as a Registered Sanitarian with the State of Maryland, or (2)possesses a Bachelor's degree including at least 30 semester credits in the biological, environmental, or physical sciences from an accredited college and desires to pursue licensure as a Registered Sanitarian. There are two vacancies: 1) To ensure compliance with health laws and regulations in the areas of food service facilities, camps and schools. Job duties involve inspection, investigation, record keeping, interpersonal communication, and submission of reports. 2) To ensure compliance with health laws and regulations in the area of sewage disposal and well construction. Job duties include inspection, investigation, design review, record keeping, and interpersonal skills. Both positions are contractual positions with the anticipation of becoming State Merit.
