Data Analyst II

Create and maintain accurate reporting of account performance trends and variances with analysis for recommended adjustments to controls and analytical models
Implement/modify/test controls to ensure targeted approval rates and corresponding losses are achieved for assigned accounts
Perform statistical analysis and provide summary on all assigned accounts
Generate timely and accurate forecasts for gross losses
Develop and maintain a strong familiarity with all data tools while identifying opportunities for possible risk systems enhancements
Ensure contractual compliance for gross loss, approval/turndown limits, and penalties
Communicate material performance trends to management personnel and clients as appropriate
Perform special projects as requested
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor degree required with minimum of 2 years statistical analysis experience
Experience querying data or using reporting packages such as SQL and Brio preferred
Proficiency with SAS or other statistical package preferred
Strong analytical, statistical, problem-solving, and database management skills
Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats
Strong presentation skills
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Proven history in managing and analyzing large data sets
Proven history in building databases for analytical use
Ability to manage and meet multiple deadlines
A high degree of flexibility, ability to work in self-directed and team environments, and ability to interact on a variety of personal and professional levels
