Data Analyst

General Summary:
This individual will be responsible for the validation of information from third party sources and internal Putnam sources. This information is primarily associated with security and portfolio reference data. The information is required to support trading, research, accounting, custody operations, pricing, and the portfolio construction process. The role does include some day to day interaction with third party vendors.General Responsibilities:
The data analyst will maintain up to date records on the companies, securities, and portfolios in the investment systems. This information will include new records as well as updates resulting from corporate actions such as mergers, stock splits, acquisitions, and spin-offs.This individual will be responsible for knowing what data the vendors provide as well as understanding how the data is used by each of the business groups within the organization. This will require the ability to establish a relationship with the vendors and the ability to act as a liaison between various business groups and the vendors for any projects.Resolve any security discrepancies identified via systematic edits and business controls or requests. This may require vendor contact and/or discussions with Putnam Investment Professionals.Educational and Professional
REQUIREMENTS
BA/BS
Solid understanding of securities data
1 to 3 years securities industry experience
Experience working with securities data is preferred
