DIRECTOR OF RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

South Orange County Manufacturing Company is seeking hands-on professional to oversee its Research and Development Department. Responsibilities include planning and formulation of all aspects of company R&D proposals such as determining objective(s) and/or purpose(s) of identified project(s), reviewing with value stream Management partners applications that can be utilized from findings. Determining costs of proposed projects, and identifying capital equipment an human resources requirements.
Provide technical direction and decision-making capability for the R&D Department and will be essential in building and leading a team of R&D Engineers.
Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring projects such as records preparation, expenditure tracking, monitoring of time spent on projects by all personnel for tax credit purposes, periodic reporting of research findings, and provides progress updates to appropriate members of Management Team.
REQUIREMENTS
B.S. Engineering degree with M.S. Engineering or related degree preferred.
Candidate must come with previous proven experience in R&D including an exceptional track record of leadership, strategic vision, and the ability to see projects involving new technologies through from inception to fruition.
Will be expected to possess the ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms using commonly understood language.
