Clinical Trial Logistics Assistant

Clinical Trial Logistics Assistant needed for major pharmaceutical client in Indianapolis, IN!

Responsible for executing the Indianapolis-based distribution business processes related to Clinical Trial materials. Logistics assistants are experts on the clinical supplies distribution network, the business processes related to order management, and are the single point of contact for information on where a shipment is in that network. The assistant for domestic shipments also manages the returns process and routinely interfaces with the returned materials group located at the Materials Center.
Work with the Clinical Trial Material Management team (CTMM) to obtain output of the CTMM Trial Site Replenishment process (including shipments triggered from the IVRS system).
Manage orders in the distribution system (CTMD or CT-WIN) to align with CT Material Requirements.
Finalize CT material allocation.
Make sure all documentation requirements have been met on or before ship date. Serve as single point of contact for CTMM group on shipment status.
Manage the CT Material returns process, including appropriate interfacing with the materials returns group currently located at the Materials Center.
Manage the Special Security Substance reconciliation process. Ensure responsibilities are performed in a way that complies with cGMP, Company Quality Standards, and relevant procedures including SSS (Special Security Substances).
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Requirements: High School degree or GED equivalent is the minimum education requirement. Advanced degrees or equivalent experience are preferred.
One or more years supply chain-related experience in the Clinical Trial Material Services area, A deep understanding of Clinical Trial Materials Management business processes and an understanding of how they impact and relate to distribution and logistics, Strong computer skills (knowledge on Microsoft Office and/or Lotus Notes; CTMD), Strong problem solving, written and oral communication skills, Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, Excellent Teamwork and interpersonal skills, Strong attention to detail, a commitment to thorough follow up.
