Real Estate Contract Administrator

We are looking for a talented, energetic, and self-motivated commercial real estate paralegal with three to five years of relevant experience. As a member of the Avaya Law team, he or she will interact on a daily basis with our Real Estate group and handle legal matters relating to our global real estate portfolio. He or she will be responsible for:
o reviewing and/or drafting all U.S. legal documents for the Real Estate group, including, but not limited to, office lease agreements, renewal amendments, subleases, estoppels, purchase and sale contracts and other commercial real estate documents;
o where required, engaging external counsel to assist with U.S. real estate matters;
o serving as the central point of contact for all international real estate legal matters, including coordinating the activities of regional in-house and external counsel;
o serving as the central point of contact for the company's real estate brokers on all real estate legal matters; and
o assisting in the resolution of various landlord/tenant disputes.
REQUIREMENTS
oCollege degree and/or Paralegal certificate required;
o3 - 5 years of experience obtained at a leading law firm and/or large corporation;
oIn-depth knowledge of commercial real estate issues, including those relating to office lease agreements, renewal amendments, subleases, estoppels, purchase and sale contracts and other commercial real estate documents.
oExperience using Microsoft Office (including Word and Excel);
oVersatility, maturity and ability to work well with others;
oStrong interpersonal and oral and written communication skills; and
oThe ability to work independently and initiate and coordinate projects.
