As a member of our exclusive team, you'll enjoy exceptional rewards and growth opportunities.We need a talented individual to fill the role of Risk Manager in our Corporate Risk Management Dept.The Risk Manager is responsible for promoting loan quality internally by identifying and solving problems within the areas of underwriting, funding, Account Management, compliance, quality control, audit, data discrepancy and HMDA with the primary focus being on fraud. Assist in training operations staff in order to prevent problems; promote consistency in guidelines and staff performance.Essential duties and responsibilities include, but aren't limited to the following:Review loans referred to identify possible fraudulent documentation.Assist in identifying weakness in staff or policy and provide ongoing information to the production groups.Provide direction to management to be used as training for other departments.Act as point of contact to gather and assimilate information from outside groups including Investor Relations, Compliance, Secondary Marketing, Quality Assurance, etc.Perform audits on both open & closed loan files.Disseminate information to the production groups on findings resulting from referrals.Provide information to, and make recommendations to "Corporate" Credit Officer of Operations group to improve quality from within.A High School or General Education Diploma (GED) and five years mortgage experience in QA auditing with three years of underwriting experience is required.Must be proficient in Excel and Word, have exceptional verbal communication skills, and be accustomed to multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
