Systems Analyst

Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates functional aspects and data requirements of an application or system to meet business and user needs. Actively participates in the design, construction, QA, and implementation phases of an application and/or system development project. Identifies and recommends solutions based on sound technical practice. Produces standard product development design documentation. Produces specifications for new applications or systems as appropriate. Produces detailed outline designs of the new systems to be built by the development team. Communicates both verbal and written with customers and management. Works independently in a team environment to complete needed jobs. May lead a project team. Other duties as assigned.
Systems Analyst I, X21 - Typically requires a Bachelor's and 0 - 2 years of directly related experience. Limited use and/or application of basic principles, theories, and concepts. Basic knowledge of current industry accepted application development methodologies and processes, application design and programming, and systems and project techniques and practices.
Systems Analyst II, X22 - Typically requires a Bachelor's and 2 - 4 years of directly related experience. Full use and application of standard principles, theories, concepts, and techniques. Working knowledge of current industry accepted application development methodologies and processes, application design and programming, and systems and project techniques and practices.
Systems Analyst III, X23 - Typically requires a Bachelor's and 4 - 6 years of directly related experience. Broad application of principles, theories, and concepts in applicable discipline, plus extensive knowledge of other related fields. Extensive knowledge of current industry accepted application development methodologies and processes, application design and programming, and systems and project techniques and practices.
