Supervisor, Inspector

Astronautics Corporation of America, a world leader in the design and manufacture of avionic systems, has a challenging opportunity available in our Quality Assurance Department for a Supervisor, Inspection to oversee our Receiving In-Process and Final Inspection Departments.
REQUIREMENTS
Responsibilities:
•Supervise technicians and inspectors in our Receiving In-Process and Final Inspection Departments
•Provide guidance and direction to staff on test and inspection methods.
•Provide training and coaching in Quality Control and Assurance procedures
•Recommend opportunities for continuous improvement
•Develop process improvement teams with Engineering and Manufacturing
•Analyze problems and provide recommendations for corrective action

Qualifications:
•At least 5+ years supervisory experience in Inspection and QA processes
•Experience/knowledge of commercial and military standards for circuit card assembly.
•Experience in testing electrical components and inspecting precise mechanical parts
•In-depth experience in soldering processes to J-STD 001, IPC-610 and Circuit Board Assembly
•Knowledge of inspection and measurement methods and techniques
•Experience in an electronics assembly environment/electronics preferred
•Bachelors degree in Engineering or technical field
•Comprehensive knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods.
•Excellent communication, organization,
analytical, and PC skills
•Knowledge of configuration control and drawing change systems
•Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma preferred
