Sr. QA Analyst

By combining your talent and our strengths, we can acheive great results.The Banking Products IT (BPIT) group is responsible for applications development related to the Banking Products business at UBS Investment Bank. The Banking Products business is concerned with acquisition finance, leveraged finance and loan portfolio management as well as related syndication, trading and sales activity. This role is for a Senior QA Analyst, based in Stamford, CT, reporting to the QA manager of FIRC Banking Products IT. The candidates initial responsibilities will include; review functional specifications, extract testing requirements, document and execute manual test cases, maintain and enhance existing test automation framework and data driven test cases, review / update regression test cases for Loan Trading Systems.All deliverables will adhere to the existing QA methodology, which defines the end-to-end testing process flow for all BPIT Applications. The candidate will be required to interface with other teams within the Banking Products area. As such, they will be required to be a team player. Ideally the candidate will already have QA lead experience or show the potential to step into a lead roll within a 3 to 6 months period.Preferred Qualifications:QA Methodology, Test Case Design, Manual Testing and Defect Tracking A good understanding of the systems development lifecycle is a requirement as is General knowledge of financial / trading systems, business rules and terminology, with an emphasis on secondary trading market. Extensive QA methodology, tools and techniques background. (6 - 10 yrs) Experiences developing and executing test cases for large / complex business applications (3 - 5 yrs) Familiar with TestDirector and ClearCase. (2-3 yrs) Technically adept in Windows, Unix, and Oracle DBMS. (3 – 5 yrs) Trading systems background, ideally with secondary loans & hedge. Quick learner. Ability to apply existing financial / trading knowledge to existing application and documentation in a short time frame. Ideally, 2+ years testing Secondary Trading (Loans and Traded Hedges) applications.Test Automation At least 1 year proven project experience using QT Pro with complex Java client applications. At least 1 year proven project experience using QT Pro with data driven / parameter (ie, MS Excel) file input. Ability to very quickly learn the existing Winrunner automated test framework and application, and apply changes as needed for each software release.
