Business Unit: GE Infrastructure, AviationFunction: QualityResponsibilities: *Provide leadership and direction to cross-functional team empowered to execute the Lean Six Sigma strategy for process improvement.
Through completion of a training program on Lean Six Sigma philosophy, theory, and application tools/tactics, deliver breakthrough levels of improvement in process capability, producibility of designs and business processes to reduce defects and attain world class levels of quality.
Facilitate, train, and coach team members in the use of Lean Six Sigma tools.
Work with operating leaders and teams to uncover and assess lean Six Sigma opportunities for GE and its suppliers.
In conjunction with the Master Black Belts and Quality Champions, serve as a change agent in institutionalizing Lean Six Sigma quality.
Constantly seek, share, and implement best practices.
Apply Lean Six Sigma tools to improve process capability and eliminate defects.
Lead and facilitate cross-functional project teams.
Identify and manage resources required to successfully execute projects.
Communicate teams' progress to Champions, Business Leaders, and Master Black Belts.
Educate, coach, and mentor Green Belts and others on Lean Six Sigma philosophy and application.
Propose process technology improvements and capital expenditures.
Identify potential process improvement projects.
Employ Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and improve flow in production and transaction processes.
Make recommendations to strengthen the group's capability to provide on-time material availability.
Drive projects to achieve inventory reduction targets.
Work with the NPI team to formalize the materials flow from design through production release and build.
Propose IT projects as needed.
Establish a robust process for OSMI review and mitigation.
Participate in the design and/or implement a 'lean' materials logistics process within the Jacksonville facility, migrated (as required) to other Unison facilities.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: *Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
At least 3 years of experience in Materials Management, either sourcing or planning/logistics.
Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
Ability to travel for training/business wide project execution.Desired: *Competent change management leader.
Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to guide and influence others.
Technological proficiency, including experience in analytical and quantitative tools.
Experience in MRP, sourcing, and manufacturing processes are preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated problem solving, process orientation, and project management skills.General: Unison Industries - Jacksonville has a Delivery Business-Y Black Belt position to identify, coordinate and drive multi-site Material and Delivery improvement projects to achieve Internal and External OTD targets.
