The successful candidate must be a self-starter who can learn and adapt to new technology quickly and have solid experience in software testing and test automation. Review test specifications, cases and automation written by others for coverage and completeness.
Facilitate/participate in the creation and execution of engineered test cases.
Demonstrate a strong aptitude for performance analysis.
Effectively reproduce, log and track product defects to a successful resolution.
Develop, document and execute test plans, test cases and testing scenarios in accordance to the functional requirements, specifications, and technical design.
Take ownership for improving both product and test quality, creating test strategies, designing and developing automated test tools.
Write test plans and document requirements with clear objectives and traceability.
Conducts QA audits on all support processes to ensure that the application and support solution meets quality standards.
Work closely with software developers, project managers, and other testers, and be actively involved in all aspects of design and implementation, with a goal of defining tests and test requirements from the beginning.
Be an active participant in the SDLC and work to identify design flaws early in the project development life cycle to ensure that we are building quality in from the start of the project.
Interfaces with other departments, both technical and non-technical, to resolve issues.
Ability to work collaboratively with business owners, development, business analyst and project managers to ensure quality product development, accurate timelines and successful project launches.
Prepare time estimates for and plan testing activities, including end to end testing.
Provide impact analysis and regression testing of software changes.
Review the status of defects (including those found in Production) to improve effectiveness of existing sets of test cases.
Keep current with technology, tools, and software quality assurance practices and share knowledge with the more junior members of the QA team.
Publishes test result reports for all test runs using an analysis engine and other system. monitoring/reporting tools to expose quality metrics and the true state of the application in test.
Good interpersonal skills in interacting with content stakeholders, project managers, internal clients and application developers.

College degree or equivalent working experience.
Software design experience (understanding of the software architecture / design concepts) is desirable;
Experience in test automation is mandatory;
2-4 years experience and/or working knowledge of multi-tiered applications.
Demonstrated experience in writing detailed test plans and test cases.
Experience with formal test tools (Mercury Interactive, Rational,) preferred
Working knowledge of Test Management systems
Demonstrated customer service skills
Effective learning skills (self-study and in a class room environment)
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work both independently and collectively in a team environment.
Formal Software Quality Assurance training a plus.
Ability to work in a team environment, share technical capabilities to the organization and learn from others.
Experience developing and supporting existing complex application solutions.
Sound technical background with the ability to quickly adapt to the use of new and unfamiliar technologies.
