Senior Econometrics Associate
BASIC FUNCTIONWork independently or as an integral part of a project team to develop predictive model, conduct simulation, and perform ad-hoc analysis to support a specific business area. Participate in general analytical capability building efforts.RESPONSIBILITIES Participate in modeling design to identify the appropriate modeling/analytic solution to meet the business requirements.
Responsible for data preparation, including sampling, data pull, and aggregation and other data preparation treatment.
Develop predictive models, and ensure the business objectives, requirements, and timelines are met. Perform simulation to provide insight to strategy design and economic decisioning framework. Communicate modeling and analytic results to business partners and management in a clear and effective manner.
Work closely with business partners to implement models, such as providing necessary documents, answer questions, and resolve issues.
Provide input and consultation to business partners on various statistical issues.
Identify and share programming knowledge and organizational expertise for efficient and effective execution of project tasks.
Prioritize and manage tasks and meet deadlines.
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED SKILLS:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS M.S. Degree. However, a PhD in quantitative analysis fields, such as Economics, Statistics, Psychology, Sociology (demographers), is preferred.
A minimum of two years of experience, preferably in the credit card industry, other financial institutions, or direct mail industry.
Strong computer skills, experience with statistical software and other analytical tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Project management experience in a high-profile, deadline driven environment is preferred.
