Quality Inspector

Purpose: We are a supplier of radio frequency (RF) components. Headquartered in Broomfield, Colorado, with operations in China, Germany and the U.S., we design and develop RF components for the commercial communications, consumer and aerospace and defense (A&D) equipment markets.

Position Summary:
The Quality Inspector position is an entry-level position and requires supervision. To provide quality control support to the assigned area(s) to ensure the product is built in accordance to company and customer specification and procedures, while maintaining production flow. Responsible for one or more of the following job duties and responsibilities.
Basic Job Duties and Responsibilities

Inspect all products in accordance to build folders, workmanship criteria and written instructions.
Will read and interpret engineering drawings, bills of material and company wide procedures and standards.
Will assist production personnel in identifying defects and assisting other departments in process and product improvement based on defects found.
All inspected products shall be documented on inspection logs.
Quality control Reports will be written when nonconforming material is found.
Rejection notices must be written for all production that does not meet our defined workmanship criteria.
Interact with manufacturing personnel and engineers to assist in improving product quality.
Verify that ESD requirements are being met.
Ability to read engineering drawings and bills of material.

Commercial:
Basic understanding of receiving or in-process inspection.
Maintain quality records and supplier information.
Perform tests in accordance to documented procedures and/or external specifications.

Military:
Must be familiar with military standards and operations.
Perform several miscellaneous tests in accordance to military standards.
Knowledge, Skill Sets, Education, Experience
Required: Minimum of high school education. Up to two years experience in electronics manufacturing environment with inspection experience.

Knowledge of SMT and/or military standards.
Familiar with ESD practices.
Ability to use hand held tools.
Good eyesight and manual dexterity.
Knowledge of solder accept/reject criteria is a plus.
Basic computer knowledge is a plus.
