Quality/Food Safety Manager

American Fresh Foods, located in Thomasville, Georgia, is seeking an experienced QA/Food Safety Manager.

You will have overall responsibility for the quality/food safety program for the entire facility including: the development, implementation, oversight, and maintenance of the HACCP plan, GMPs, SOPs, and SSOPs; serving as the main contact for all government food safety regulatory agencies; establishing and maintaining standards and procedures for all products, procedures, raw materials, sanitation operations and packaging; and reporting and providing advice/guidance on quality deviations that might result in customer, cost, or regulatory compliance issues. You will also assist the Plant Operations by educating/coaching employees on food safety/sanitation issues; providing guidance for general production questions; and ensuring that all employees are working in a productive and safe manner.

REQUIREMENTS
Qualified applicants must have:Minimum B.S. Degree in technical field2+ years Quality/Food Safety management background in the food processing industry (beef, ground beef, chicken, pork industry a plus)Ability to interface business skills and technical skillsCreative/strategic thinking and problem solving skillsSelf confidence/self-starter.
