ROLE SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES





Review and Analyze Business Requirements.

Develop testing processes and approaches according to JPMC Chase, and Six Sigma/CMM standards.

Assist in designing and ensuring overall integrity of the testing strategy.

Work with appropriate business and technology leads to determine the acceptable range for test results and performance.

Design, develop and implement test plans, scripts, and tools using the detailed business requirements document provided by the business analysts.

Work with business and technology leads to identify the appropriate data for testing, and prepare that data for the test cases.

Assist Application Developers and technical support staff in identifying and resolving problems.

Facilitate resolution and communication of cross-application/organization architectural issues and decisions.

Assess and revise test sequence and scope based upon test results and/or changes in product design.

Coordinate component, system and documentation testing with the appropriate technical groups and Release Management.

Document test procedures and findings. Report, track, and re-test application defects.

Assess readiness and deviation of product/project performance based upon test results and product specifications.

Manage the build and maintenance of test environments. Coordinates test environment availability.



Ensure that developed products meet design specifications and are within quality management limits and standards.



Assists product developers and technical support specialists with installation problems.





PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

Manages day to day workload of individual workload and junior team members, monitoring project milestones and critical dates to identify potential jeopardy of project schedule and identify / mitigate risk



Promotes teamwork in problem resolution.



Develops, trains, and coaches junior team members.



REQUIREMENTS


SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Applications development or quality assurance testing experience required. Experience creating and implementing test environments for mainframe applications. Experience creating detailed test cases/scripts for technical and/or business clients. Experience creating functional and technical documentation. Strong experience with manual testing, testing tools,writing test plans, and reviewing test cases. Knowledge of testing methodology, automated test/load tools. Expertise in Business Analysis, Testing Methodologies, Project and Staff Management, System and Integration Testing, and Test Effort Estimation.

Familiarity with CMM Process Methodology and the Development Lifecycle, and Performance Testing to enable Streamlining of Processes and Reduced Run Times.

Expertise with DB2 based test environments with ability to build and maintain DB2 based test environments.



Programming Languages Preferred: COBOL, JCL, SQL



Knowledge of Mainframe Tools: QMF, SPUFI, FILEAID, Move for DB2, Endevor, ect.



Knowledge of Logical Data Modeling as it applies to System Design Specifications

Strong knowledge of Mercury Test Suite
