Quality Assurance Lead

Purpose: Our client is looking a QA lead to join their team. Candidate will be responsible for the following activities:
- Writing test strategy documents which describe how products will be tested
- Develop detailed software test plans from requirements
- Conducting software test plan reviews
- Working closely with members of the development team
- Planning and estimating his/her own work and/or the work of others as a part of the project planning process
- Mentor other System Test Engineers
- Drives process improvements back into development
- Drives the importance of accurate defect status into everyone. Shows the value added
- Suggests and gets implemented changes to the System Test related processes
- Continued implementation of test automation into the test process
- Testing the products
- Reporting defects and following up until resolution
- Ensures that the department follows established software testing processes

Candidate must have ten plus years of experience in testing software applications. At least 5 of those years must be in leading a system test team. Must have demonstrated the ability to be innovative in a new product development environment.

Exposure to software development processes from a testing perspective is essential. Must be familiar with software project and resource planning and estimation techniques using Microsoft project.

In order to be considered, Candidates must be able to work full time for any employer.
