Quality Assurance Analyst

Support Argent's Software Quality Assurance team to ensure origination systems, web based applications and stand-alone applications meet quality control standards. Develop test plans, test cases, automated test suites for full loan life cycle system testing and bug tracking. Perform all duties in accordance with Argent company policies and procedures and all state and federal regulations.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborate with Development and Business Analysts to analyze business requirements and test planning to support system enhancements and special projects.
Review business requirements and systems analysis specifications against existing computer system capabilities, workflow, and interfaces for adequacy and viability of development implementation.
Participate in design reviews to understand intent of software.
Create test plans and develop automated regression test suites for loan origination systems, web based applications and stand alone applications.
Execute test plans according to our standard QA process, methodologies, and choice of tools
Conduct automated system, integration, smoke, and regression testing.
Conduct GUI, functional, data synchronization, and end-user security testing.
Compare and analyze actual to expected results and report/track all deviations.
Execute manual and/or automated tests using approved QA tools
Perform black box and white box testing as necessary
Trace test cases to the requirements and defects to the test cases
Create automated test reports representing automation suite execution findings.
Log and track results, enhancements and defect findings in an approved test database repository
Verify defect fixes and other change implementations according to specifications.
Confirm/Withdraw new change requests according to business requirements and functional specifications.
Routinely inform team lead by providing test reports indicating the results of testing and product stability including recommendations concerning the release of the product.
Collaborates with development and business analysts to have defects and product ease-of-use issues addressed.Manage project tasks, schedules, scope change and deadlines to eliminate constraints and ensure that company needs are met.
Mentors other QA Analysts in the use of testing methodologies and tools.
Ensures acceptable processes, methodologies and tools are defined and followed:
Assist QA manager in the development of quality assurance standards and procedures.
Review and recommend techniques to improve testing effectiveness and efficiency.
Review and recommend needed hardware and software resources for support of the QA efforts.
Provide inputs concerning new and improved diagnostic/support tools to aid testing and product support.
Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Information Systems or related field
Minimum 3 - 5 years experience as a software quality assurance or testing analyst with automated test case development experience.
Experience in the mortgage industry or related field preferred
Must have strong analytical, time management, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast moving environment with a strong tolerance for ambiguity and be able to handle multiple tasks and switch priorities effectively.Excellent working knowledge of state-of-the-art SQA methodologies and technologies, and the ability to tailor these approaches as appropriate to the situation.
Proficient working knowledge of automated functional and regression testing methodologies.
Proficient working knowledge of automated testing tools, change management tracking, and source/version control systems.
Ability to conduct effective informational interviews by constructively listening and interpreting user needs.
Ability to schedule, track and report on all aspects of a project through the use of metrics, root cause analysis, audits.
Deadline oriented and self-motivated.
Development of automated test cases a must.
Ability to work flexible hours.
Must be willing to obtain :
Working knowledge of Argent policies, procedures, guidelines and organizational structure
Working knowledge of Argent's underwriting guidelines and investor requirements
Working knowledge of Argent's loan origination system, web application and stand alone applications
