Quality Assurance Agent

Trondent Development Corp., a leading provider of software & Internet based technology solutions to travel & corporate clients worldwide is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst. MUST have travel agency experience. • Analyze technical documentation and generate test plans for purposes of validating and verifying software. • Execute regression tests and debug failures. • Conduct testing which includes both formal and ad-hoc testing, as well as manual and automated testing. • Identify and track all product problems/defects throughout testing phase and for the life cycle of the product. Support gathering of quality metrics. • Serve as primary contact to Project Managers and Manager of Development in escalating and coordinating the resolution of issues. • Identify process improvements to maximize service requests and effectiveness. • Assist programmers in the design work of new features and corrective changes in the software.
REQUIREMENTS
• Recent travel agent or travel related industry experience needed. • Must have a working knowledge of a major GDS such as Apollo, Sabre, Worldspan, Galileo or Amadeus. • Working knowledge of PC applications and familiarity with Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP • 2 years experience in a software test environment preferred • Ideal candidate will be self-starter, very detailed-oriented and possess sharp problem solving and documentation skills. • Ability to work and communicate with programmers to resolve/test issues efficiently. • Working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies. • Basic knowledge and understanding of SQL skills preferred • Strong organizational and planning skills
