QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST

Reports directly to: The Sr. Director of QAPRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Evaluate and provide guidance to restaurant operations to ensure compliance in food safety, sanitation and HACCP systems. Ensure that that restaurants are in compliance with local and state food code requirements and with the Company's Standards of Operations through inspections and restaurant sanitation audits and provide training as necessary.
Experience Required:
Experience in Environmental Health in the Food Sevice inspection area
Knowledge of food manufacturing and understanding of chemical, physical and microbiological aspects of food products.
Education Required:
Bachelor degree in Enviornmental Health, Biology or related field preferred
Servsafe certification required
Certification as a Registered Sanitarian, Registered Environmental Health Specialist, or be eligible for registration.
Special Skills Required: (Computer, etc.)
Computer
General office equipment (e.g. telephone, facsimile machine, copy machine, etc.)
Ability to travel 40-60% including overnight travel, and able to travel with short notice.
Various food and safety check/test items including Quick Checks, Thermal-couplers, litmus paper, etc.
