500 companies worldwideInterest Category: Quality Assurance/Quality ControlJob Description: Responsible to the Quality Control Manager for the completion of applicable inspection functions. Will have the authority to release service airframes, accessories, and components.Adheres to the details of inspection standards, methods, and procedures. Ensure compliance with requirements for the continuity of inspection responsibilities, assuring completion of required inspections when personnel shift change or assignments occurs.Ensure the final acceptance of all incoming materials, including parts, raw materials, and the airworthiness of components on which work has been performed by outside repair agencies.Ensure that all inspections are properly performed on all completed work before it is approved for return to service, and the proper inspection and maintenance records, reports, and forms required for such release are properly executed.Maintain familiarization with all applicable manuals and regulations and ensure that all technical data on aircraft and components are secured and kept current with latest revisions.Ensure periodic checks on all tools and monitor the calibration of precision test equipment. Ensure that publications used by maintenance personnel are maintained in a current status.Ensure that rejected and unserviceable parts are handled in such a way as to prevent their re-use as serviceable parts, i.e. proper tag identification. Assist in the proper procedures in diagnosing and troubleshooting all systems to determine malfunctions and corrective actions.Assist other mechanics in proper procedures for removal and replacement of engines and main transmission assemblies.Verification of aircraft rigging and adjustments to components and sub-systems such as fuel linkage and controls, pitch change linkage, flight controls, flaps, ailerons, and stabilizers.Inspect repair, removal, service or replacement of hydraulic system components, gauges, and instruments and system components. Inspect and document repairs and replacements to gear boxes, dampers, shock absorbers, drive shafts, rotor hubs, blades, and pulley assemblies.Ensure that all maintenance operational checks are documented and performed according to serve and FAA guidance to determine airworthiness returns to service.Read and interpret manufacturers' and military maintenance manuals, service bulletins, safety of flight messages, drawings and other specifications to determine feasibility and proper methods or repair.Insure vibration analysis and adjustments to rotating components to minimize damage caused by those vibrations are performed by service guidance and acceptable practice.Demonstrate efforts to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively to provide quality seamless customer service.Assist in all additional functions required for the aviation maintenance operation to continue such as operational level repairs on ground support equipment and movement of aircraft to facilitate maintenance and/or testing.Responsible for serviceability of HAZMAT,GSE, provided tools (TMDE), GFE and personal tools used in daily operations. REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Requirements: Note: This position comes with a daily per-diem of $72.80 X 30 days.High School Diploma or equivalent required. Technical Certification, FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certification and/or military equivalent. Graduate from Basic Non-Commission Officers Course (BNCOC).Applicants should have been trained in Army Aviation Maintenance such as an aircraft repairman course. Technical Inspector in an AVIM, AVUM, or Depot level maintenance facility in the US Armed Services as a member and/or contractor. Training and/or familiarity with TAMMS Documentation, DOD, and DA forms, and aircraft historical records.Requires excellent problem solving skills, attention to detail, and positive attitude. Proven reliability, professionalism, and work ethic. Strong interpersonal skills. Operation knowledge of the Automated Aircraft Weight and Balance Program (AWBS).Minimum of 10+ years of experience in quality control functions in aircraft maintenance, repair, and monitoring; preferably with 3 years of quality control experience on UH-60, helicopters. Possess or be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance. Thorough knowledge of quality control principles and inspection principles and procedures. Experience as an OJT trainer.
