QA Tester (Wiinrunner)

Purpose: TEKsystems and a Worldwide Fortune 50 company are searching for several qualified Automation Testers to join their new expanding team in Chicago, IL.

Job Description:

You will be responsible for writing and executing test plans, test cases, and scripts for all phases of testing. Business and system requirements will be reviewed for testability and consistency. Test data will be defined and created (with necessary assistance by application and database developers) to ensure repeatable testing. You will need to design and develop regression test scripts as well as automated functional testing for core functional areas of the specialized applications. Test scripts will need to be defined and developed to support performance/scalability testing to meet targeted service levels. Automated metric collection of performance test results will need to be implemented and analysis of these metrics will need to be performed for communication to key stakeholders including application/database developers and application architects.

Qualifications:

Must be able to work on a W2 basis. No CORP to CORP'S please.

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience or specialized training) in Information Technology (IT) or related discipline.

Minimum of 3 years relevant Software Automation testing work experience.

Experience in developing test plans, scenarios/cases, scripts using automated testing tools.

Must have strong experience with Mercury WinRunner.

Experience working within a structured software development methodology.

Experience with Rational tools (e.g. RequisitePro, ClearQuest, etc.) a good plus.

Large company experience preferred.

This position is a contract to hire opportunity. Qualified candidates must be able to work on a W-2 basis as this position will go permanent after 6 month. Drug and Background checks will be required.Classification:Contract-to-HireCompensation:
