QA Spec - Electrical - QA11

Position Responsibilities:

Position is funded under CA 15.02.8523.

Monitor performance of construction subcontractors and suppliers to assure implementation of their QA Programs. Perform hold and Witness Points identified for DCS Direct Procured Equipment and Monitor inspections performed by the Electrical Utility, Electrical Installation, Instrumentation and Control, and Process Unit Installation Subcontractors.

This position is responsible to:

Identify quality problems

Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions

Verify implementation of solutions

Assure, if applicable, that further processing, delivery, installation, or use is controlled until proper disposition of a nonconformance, deficiency, or unsatisfactory condition has occurred.



Required Qualifications:

This position requires a High school diploma (or equivalent).

This Position requires a minimum of four-years QA related experience, two years of nuclear industry experience,

One year as certified electrical inspector

Working Knowledge of 10 CFR Part 50 Appendix B QA Requirements

Working Knowledge of American Society of Mechanical Engineers Standard NQA-1

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Experience in dealing with external regulators such as the Nuclear Regulatory Commission

Experience with implementation of Corrective Action Program, Root Cause Analysis, and Continuous Process Improvement.



Desired Qualifications:

Recent experience in the construction or major modification of nuclear facilities

Experience with Fuel Fabrication Facilities

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering

Experience in Both NRC and DOE regulated facilities

Active Lead Auditor Certification in an NQA-1 compliant QA Program
