QA/QC MANAGER

Purpose: Our client is a leading manufacturer in dietary supplements. Their Quality Control department is currently looking for QA/QC MANAGER to join their team.

BASIC FUNCTION:

The QA/QC Manager manages the quality assurance function. Provides work direction for Quality Assurance supervisors and various levels of inspectors. Establishes, monitors and maintains Quality Assurance system. Identifies critical points in the manufacturing process and defines sampling procedure. Determines types of test performed as well as documentation and reporting requirements. Interacts regularly with engineering, manufacturing and service functions to establish quality standards for raw materials, components, in-process and finished products. Responsible for the assurance of the identity, strength, safety and purity of finished products documents and outside vendor approval. Interfaces with upper management, Quality Control Laboratory, manufacturing personnel, Regulatory Affairs, FDA and consultants.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

1.Education and/or Experience: B.S. Chemistry/B.S Pharmacy or BS in a technical discipline. Three to five years experience in Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance Program. . Three to five years experience in analytical methods and laboratory practices. Supervision of minimum of 6-8 people required. Must have experience in pharmaceutical Quality Control and Quality Assurance

2. Skill Requirements: Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices. Employee Training Programs, Plant Audits and Inspections, Statistics and Documentation., Complaint Handling, Validation Studies, Process Improvements, and Supplier Quality Programs. Working knowledge of up-to-date analytical methodology and computerized systems. Computer Programming helpful. Must have a working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices of the FDA and statistics
