QA Analyst

Please consider a 3 month consulting opportunity working as a QA Analyst for a leading financial services firm in Quincy, MA. Under close supervision from an IS QA Project Manager and IS QA Team Leader, the Quality Assurance Analyst will participate in the implementation of upgrades and enhancements to existing retirement plans for clients including regulatory items, new business implementations, as well as new products and services.RESPONSIBILITIES:
'Review and analyze client or application requirements documents including the Plan Provisions and Service requirements, the Gap Document as well as the Systems Requirements documentation
'Create and execute thorough generic and client-specific test plans for participant driven transactions as well as periodic processes.
'Ability to communicate effectively via phone and email
'Ability to organize and be flexible to the changing needs of the project and availability fo the infrastructure
'Demonstrates problem -solving skills
'Can work in a team environment: preparing test plans, on a client project, stepping-in in the absence of a team member
'Prepare test data, identify and effectively communicate problems or issues that may jeopardize the testing process
'Facilitate the IS QA Defect Tracking meetings
'Keep up to date on new technology and systems releases
'Facilitate client testing
'Create and keep defect tracking bug logs updated
'Communicate project status with team members'Maintain a solid understanding of the baseline infrastructure and how the applications interact with each other
'Participate in on-the-job training as necessary.
'Additional duties and projects as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
'OmniPlan or Plus knowledge strongly preferred.'At least 5+ years in a Defined Contribution and/or Defined Benefit recordkeeping environment.
'Solid PC, interpersonal and written communication skills.
'Demonstrated analytical and project management skills are also required.
'BS/BA or equivalent work experience preferred.
'Ability to work both independently within established deadlines, and with a team.
