Flight Test Mission Planner, Global Hawk Program

On our growing flight test engineering team you would produce mission plans for assigned Global Hawk UAVs. You would interpret and clarify customer functional requirements in order to produce effective, efficient and robust Global Hawk mission plans. The missions you support would range from developmental flight tests with multiple objectives to operational demonstrations and exercise participation. In addition to preparing mission planning products you would present flight briefings to air vehicle operators and supporting aircrew. Your experience may also be applied in the development of emerging mission planning software. The position will be based at Edwards Air Force Base but may require intermittent travel to other contractor/test sites on short-term assignments.

In addition to the Global Hawk family of systems our UAV product line includes the Fire Scout unmanned helicopter; the Hunter family of medium-altitude UAVs for the Army; and the most advanced UAV of all - the stealthy, Unmanned Combat Air System (UCAS) for the U.S. Navy.

Basic Qualifications :BS in engineering and at least 5 years of experience in mission planning or related flight operations. Experience employing the Air Force Mission Support System (AFMSS) is required.


Preferred Experience:Former military aviation experience, especially direct Global Hawk experience, is preferred. Position responsibilities are especially suited to candidates with 5-10 years of experience.
