Enterprise Database Manager (SQL DBA MGR)

Performs leadership responsibilities corresponding to role as Enterprise Database Manager, including performing Performance Alignment and Accountability (PA&A) assessments, providing technical and professional management and leadership, and coordinating recruiting, performance, and related activities with Human Resources and Director of Technology Operations. This includes responsibility and accountability for establishing and managing work schedules, work product, work quality, and job roles. As lead Database Administrator (DBA) for the Enterprise Database Management (EDM) and Data Warehouse (DW) teams, the Enterprise Database Manager is responsible for managing and administering Legacy’s database environment, including ensuring database optimization, consistency, and integrity, that database designs adhere to principles of sound database architecture(s), the security context of database activities is consistent with the needs of the organization, and making and implementing recommendations for achieving these results.

Minimum Requirements:
1. BA/BS Degree from accredited four year university or college.
2. 8+ years experience with Microsoft SQL and similar database environments, with a demonstrated history of increasing responsibility, accountability, and environmental complexibity, including: Expert experience with T-SQL and DTS. Expert experience with migrating databases between systems. Expert knowledge of SL security, including integration with a Windows environment (e.g., Active Directory, IIS, etc.). Experience in an Enterprise MS SQL environment with 10+ SQL Server systems. Experience with data marts, data warehousing, or related technology. Experience in an Enterprise MS SQL environment with 10+ SQL Server systems. Experience with data marts, data warehousing, or related technology.
3. 5+ years of experience in a Microsoft Windows Server environment, including management and troubleshooting MS SQL on Microsoft platforms and with TCP/IP.
4. 5+ years experience using 3rd party SQL monitoring/tuning tools
5. 2+ years experience with vbs scripting or NT cmd files
6. 2+ years of experience in a senior, lead, or leadership role, providing mentoring and leadership to two or more personnel.

Preferred Requirements:
1. Masters is MIS or related field, or MBA in leadership and management.
2. MCDBA certification
3. Familiarity with Active Directory
4. MCSE/MCSA certification
