BASIC FUNCTION:Manages the corporate contracts function, including chairing the contracts manager’s council. Develops corporate contracting initiatives to respond to changes in government contracting procedures. Assesses and assists in risk management and interpreting related terms and conditions in ensuring accurate and complete business transactions. Prepares and maintains compliance policies and procedures, investigates compliance issues, and trains and coaches company personnel. Prepares and maintains management required reports.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Works with company personnel and government representatives to assess and assist in risk management; administer agreements or contracts; communicate and interpret related terms and conditions to ensure accurate and complete fulfillment of business transactions. Prepares and/or supports the review and approval of agreements and contracts. Maintains contract performance information, prepares and maintains compliance policies and procedures, and prepares and maintains process documentation, performance measures and metrics, and other management-required reports.
Chairs the contracts manager’s council and leads the development of corporate contracting initiatives to respond to changes in government contracting procedures. Acts as focal point for agreements and contracts dealing with far-reaching issues as assigned by senior management. Provides consultation and guidance in the preparation and implementation of company contracts and compliance policies. Advises management of contractual rights and obligations for use in making business decisions. Provides professional business leadership for various special projects.
Will Also: Interprets contracts issues and monitors fulfillment of contraction obligations. Responds to company inquires for information pertaining to existing or potential agreements or contracts. Reviews and analyses new agreements or contracts for consistency with company policies. Participates in and reviews correspondence developed in response to customer inquiries, requests, etc. Coordinated the submission of periodic reports. Engages in the typical responsibilities of a manager requirement planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating and controlling.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field is required, and a Masters degree is preferred. Certification as a NCMA CACM, CPCM certification, or professional certification in government contract management preferred. Experience/Qualifications: At least 15 years experience in all aspects of government contracting. Must be a subject matter expert in the field of government contracts with relevant experience in government contracting compliance preferred. Must have experience that contains the requirement for strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficient in a broad range of contracting assignments and proven skills in administration, analysis, leadership, short-term and long-term planning, problem solving, investigation, training, negotiations and administration of contracts and agreements. Possess expert level proficiency in knowledge and application of government procurement laws and regulations. Generic Skills: U.S. Citizenship required. Strong leadership skills required directing and motivating multi-disciplinary stakeholders to take appropriate action for compliance with complex regulatory requirements. Must be self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision. Strong corporate and government personnel, including corporate management. Able to prioritizes in a high-volume, multi-tasking environment Must be able to quickly synthesize technical and program information and apply regulatory requirements Must exercise excellent judgment and make decisions based n clear understating of regulations Must be able to project authority necessary to achieve compliance.***For confidential consideration, please e-mail resume and salary requirements to [Click here for email].
