Components/Compliance Technician

Candidate will work with engineering to reduce/eliminate duplicate parts, insure part attributes are correct and complete in the database and review part database for adherence to lead free designations . Maintain consistent part descriptions and notes to increase database integrity and aid in searching. Find suitable replacements for obsolete, end of life parts and suitable alternates for long lead parts. Candidate must also work through all part categories to determine possible RoHS compliance issues and find suitable replacement parts that are RoHS compliant. Candidate must have working knowledge of RoHS regulations, familiarity with component procurement practices, IPC1752 and e xperience with ERP systems is a plus. Candidates must also have the ability to read and interpret component data sheets and drawings. Position requires an Engineering Technology Degree, Technical Institute graduate or equivalent experience. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
