CIM Associate (8353)

JOB DESCRIPTIONProvide technical and analytical support as a member of the Customer Information Management Systems (CIMS) team.
The qualified candidate is a proven leader with excellent communication and negotiation skills, along with a highly driven and results oriented attitude. This technical individual must work well under pressure and easily adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Design, code, and implementation of all necessary programming code for the modules assigned.
At times, gathering, defining, and researching CIMS project requirements through interaction with a variety of customers and business partners.
Participate and contribute to the development of detailed design documents, project plans, and test plans.
Presentation of proposed project plans and schedules with complete cost benefit analysis for management review and approval.
Tracking and documentation of approved projects from inception through post implementation analysis while maintaining a timely delivery with a goal of zero defects.
Ability to multi-task and work on two or more large-scale project concurrently
Creation of weekly status reports that effectively communicate current goals and recent accomplishmentsTraining and mentoring or more junior staff
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED SKILLS:
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Development skills in Ab Initio, SAS, Relational Databases (e.g. SQL, Teradata, DB2, Oracle), COBOL, JCL, Kornshell Scripting, as well as strong knowledge of Unix, PC, and Mainframe batch and interactive processing
All-embracing problem solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to multi-taskExcellent Presentation skillsExperience in BI Tools (e.g. Cognos, Microstrategy, Business Objects, etc.) is preferredEDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Computer Science) with 5 or more years of experience in managing large-scale projects.
Experience in the Credit Card industry preferred. Advanced degree preferred.DESIRED SKILLS:
