Associate - Risk Systems Management - Strategy Designer

SUMMARYSupport Senior Management in the execution of strategic initiatives by designing and implementing credit policy or business rules into a decision engine. Job responsibilities to include new development and ongoing maintenance of existing strategies within the Business Rules Engine to ensure accurate execution of business credit policies. BR>RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in the development of project plans relating to overall implementation of credit policy and Business Rules Engine design. Analyze requirements documentation. Work with business partners to ensure documentation is clear and complete.
Translate business requirements into high-level designs for strategy implementation. Work with cross-functional business partners to review and finalize the design approach. Translate high-level strategy design into detailed technical designs for strategy implementations.
Ability to ensure integration of design with support systems.
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED SKILLS:
EXPERIENCE (MINIMUM)BUSINESS AND TECHNICAL SKILLS Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required, including Excel, Access and Visio. Familiarity with Object-Oriented concepts, Java and Unix preferred. Experience with COBOL and JCL preferred.
Experience in Financial Services preferred.
Quality Assurance experience preferred; technical testing concepts including black/white box testing, unit, and regression.
Business Rule Engine experience preferred.
LEADERSHIP QUALITIES Planning and organization skills. Ability to prioritize and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
Problem solving skills; Research alternatives to determine best solution.
Written and verbal communication skills.
Understanding of the credit risk business environment, including modeling and statistical concepts.
EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Information Technology or other related area required.
RELATIONSHIPS Internal – Risk policy areas, Marketing, Operations and Business Technology. Interact at the staff level for requirements clarification, system design, and testing.
