Analytical Test Scientist

Purpose: We are in need of Analytical Test Scientists (I and II levels) to work within an R&D environment for our Homeostasis Analytical Group.

We are looking for creative, result-oriented and self-motivated individuals. We will provide training on our multiple instrument platforms, following which scientists will be expected to work independently with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate has at least one year experience of working in a laboratory environment including:
-proficiency in use of basic laboratory equipments and performing calculations
-experience working with sophisticated software-controlled analytical analyzers
-experience in planning experiments and analyzing data
-preparing reports based on the data generated
-excellent trouble-shooting skills

The candidate must be a team-player capable of and willing to effectively communicate and work together with others, both within and across other departments.

The candidate must have good computer skills, must be familiar with Microsoft Office applications, and must be willing to become proficient in these applications as well as in other computer software (EP Evaluator, Lotus Notes, special software to operate laboratory analyzers, etc.) essential for being efficient in the job.

Having previous experience on the fields of blood coagulation (clotting) or immunoassays, as well as experience in assay development would be a plus. Former experience in coagulation is not an absolute prerequisite for being considered for a position, however the candidate must be willing to learn and continuously improve his/her understanding of this field.
