Join the ranks of professional textbook buying for an exciting and fast growing e-commerce fulfillment company. Did I say buying? Don’t kid yourself. You’re selling yourself, your skills, and your capability on every contact. We’re dynamic, fast growing, and profitable. We need more textbooks to meet the demands our customers are generating, so we’re increasing our buying presence.

If selected, you’ll travel to college campuses within an assigned geographical territory and solicit the purchase of textbooks. You’ll be assigned productivity goals. The more you buy, the more you earn. Our employment model accommodates both direct employee, and independent contractors; both full time and part time.

The ideal candidate will have a strong desire for outbound selling, and direct experience in a sales environment. The element that is going to grow our business and the salesperson’s income is the ability to consistently and successfully cold call. However, this is the warmest cold calling you can make, just think, you’re paying money to purchase unneeded and surplus textbooks.

The background of our successful buyers include students, housewives, professors, and selling professionals. If this scenario sounds enticing, we want to speak to you.

If you are confident in your abilities to achieve results in this type of environment, 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, 50 weeks a year, you satisfy our critical success factors.

We want someone who will thrive in this environment. Although a 4 year degree is preferred, we want the best person available. Persistence, creativity, consistency, strong desire, and a strong work ethic will be necessary to succeed. We are seeking to fill openings in the following areas, but don’t let that confine your response. If you are skilled we want to talk. Currently staffing for numerous large metro areas. Where there is a higher education institution there is a market and need for our services.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements
One year sales experience, outside or retail. Previous book buying experience a definite plus.
Self motivated/ entrepreneurial spirit/ persistent attitude.
Excellent communication skills.
Disciplined, strong time management skills.
Results driven.
Computer literate (tech savvy).
Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license.
Employment subject to a drug screen, background check, and satisfactory completion of in-field testing.
A teachable attitude
Overnight travel required. Estimated at 25%
Ability to lift boxes containing books, estimated at 50 lbs.
