Technology Purchasing Generalist

Job Type: Full-TimeJob Description:Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.Sterling Bank’s Purchasing Generalist is responsible for performing duties related to purchasing of technology related items central departments and bank offices. Individual performs duties under limited supervision and may be responsible for one or more of the following functions: preparing purchase orders, placing orders, receiving, and distribution of product; contact with outside vendors. Individual is responsible for completing assigned function efficiently, accurately and in a timely manner and for ensuring that service expectations are met or exceeded.Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
One to two years purchasing experience
Familiarity with purchasing in a technology-related environment
Working knowledge of technology products
Intermediate level computer competency including Microsoft Windows (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Ability to work in fast-paced team environment, handle multiple tasks and prioritize work
Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with personnel from other departments
Strong customer service skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent time management and organization skills
Good typing skills
Good filing skillsPreferred Qualifications:
Some college
One year of technology-related purchasing experienceDuties:
Prepares purchase orders and places orders
Receives and distributes products and/or services as applicable
Coordinates with vendors and service providers
