Supply Chain Planner

Primary responsibility is to provide leadership to the preparation of the production schedules for manufacture of cooked meat product. Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders. Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements. Plans and schedules workflow for each department and operation according to established manufacturing sequences and lead times. Plans sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers. Expedites operations and modifies schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Operations, Business or related discipline. • 5 or more years of increasingly responsible materials related experience as a demand planner, materials/production planner or closely related experience in manufacturing. • Experience in the food industry preferred. Demonstrated skills and abilities in the application of material flow concepts; demonstrated experience in material process improvement; ability to drive improvement through cross-functional teams. • APICS certification and JD Edwards advanced planning experience desirable.
