Supply Chain Analyst
This position reports to the Director of Engineering Process and Improvement, as the Supply Chain Analyst, this candidate will be responsible for projects in the Distribution, Transportation and Procurement Departments. This candidate will use accepted industrial engineering methods and DMAIC (define, measure, analyze, improve and control) methods, while helping the distribution organization shift to these data driven methods on a routine basis for decisions and other projects.
As the Supply Chain Analyst, this candidate will be responsible for developing and facilitating continuous process improvement within the supply chain to achieve target levels of customer service, ROI, sales volume, profitability, and productivity, specifically, but not limited to, the areas of Distribution and Transportation. Responsibilities include the identification of problems through analysis, creating sustainable solutions, and collaborating with key decision makers on supply chain strategies. Areas of concentration include channel strategy, supply chain metrics, and inventory management strategy and execution.
This candidate will work throughout the organization on Supply Chain Management projects to include reducing ordering and acquisition cycles, accessing the full DC inventory for direct shipments, and reduced inventory and administrative cost. Projects will include Dynamic Routing, Yard Management Software implementation, appointment scheduling tool implementation, and several other projects. This candidate will recommend changes to policies and guidelines to enhance Supply Chain objectives and support continuous improvement, manages multiple projects assignments and timelines as directed.
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIREMENTSCandidates for this must have a Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or University in Engineering or related field - Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering preferred. Strong background in Math and Statistics is required. Minimum of two years related experience of Logistics or Supply Chain Management preferred. Proficiency in Excel, Power Point and Project and Word is preferred. Proficiency in MS Access not required, but a plus. Strong interpersonal, analytical, verbal and written communication skills, project management skills and strong understanding of warehousing, inventory order fulfillment, customer service, and transportation. Familiarity and experience with Transportation, Distribution and Procurement is a plus. Detail orientation and Self Starter.
