General Summary:

Develops and maintains relationships with suppliers to assure the optimum mix of delivery and best value Business partner with various Autodesk divisions to support them with their purchasing needs. Seeks to reduce costs without sacrificing the quality of products or services.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Develops and manages relationships with suppliers. Ensures pipeline of backup suppliers, helps select and qualify new suppliers. Regularly monitors supplier performance metrics and negotiates or terminates contracts as necessary. Gather feedback and requirements from employees during this evaluation/review process. Prepares regular reports on cost savings achieved by renegotiating contracts, changing or implementing new vendor deals. Evaluates and analyzes costs based on industry to ensure supplier competitiveness. Works with all Autodesk departments to evaluate new suppliers and negotiate costs for products and services. Works with vendors to negotiate geographical and global agreements in order to maximize company's purchasing power. Works with vendors and internal resources to reduce the vendor base to maximize company's purchasing power.

Requirements: 5+ years of buying experience, preferably in a corporate environment or with a major supplier/manufacturer/distributor. 3+ years of contract negotiation and review process.

Desired Knowledge/Skills: BS/BA in Business Administration or Finance preferred, or equivalent work experience. Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing best practices. E procurement system experience desired, preferably Ariba. Knowledge of SAP.
