Sr. Buyer/Sourcing Analyst 2 - Charlotte*

Position Summary: 1. Support the Project Procurement Manager with on-time delivery of engineered equipment and bulk materials on FGD Retrofit and/or Coal-Fired Power Projects.
2. Monitor the progress of equipment and/or bulk materials purchase orders from order placement to delivery.
3. Pursue all action necessary to detect and avoid late delivery of equipment and/or bulk materials.
4. Review supplier production schedules, monitor supplier workload and status of sub-orders.
5. Maintain well documented files to accurately present a clear audit trail with regards to supplier engineering, procurement, fabrication, inspection and shipping activities.
6. Lead and participate on telephone calls with major suppliers to monitor progress (scheduled vs. actual) and address areas of concern. Construct detailed meeting minutes to accurately outline topics discussed, conclusions reached and action items.
7. Extensive direct telephone contact to assess order status and to assure on-time delivery.
8. Evaluate supplier performance at order close-out.

Requirements: Past expediting experience necessary, minimum of five (5) years industry experience, strong knowledge of schedules and manufacture process, excellent communication skills and strong negotiating skills. Some travel may be necessary.

Job Conditions/Environment: Normal office environment and interaction with project personnel.
