Sr. Buyer

Our client currently seeks a Sr, Buyer for its North Suburban Chicago area headquarters facility. This individual will be responsible for procurement of materials, services, and supplies at the lowest cost while maintaining integrity with regard to quality, reliability of source and urgency of need.
Specifically, the successful candidate will negotiate or assist with contract negotiations, prepare orders, expedite delivery, and ensure accuracy of delivery. Will also work to analyze market and industry conditions and make recommendations to reduce costs without a loss of quality.
REQUIREMENTS
BA/BS in an appropriate area of study
3-5 yrs experience in procurement or related
Excellent verbal and written skills
Strong organization skills
Strong analytical abilities
Excellent skills in negotiation
MS Office in SAP environment
