SENIOR PLANNER/BUYER

Job Summary:
Plan, schedule and release manufactured and purchased parts and assemblies in accordance with operating guidelines while supporting company objectives regarding inventory, sales volume, product cost, scheduling and customer requirements.

Major Responsibilities:

Analyze production requirements and launch the appropriate orders for manufactured and purchased items.

Monitor the status of these orders and react to any changes or discrepancies in the appropriate manner.

Take a leadership role in the Pull system process and other supplier alliance.

Validate and communicate requirements with suppliers at agreed upon intervals. Provide internal and external direction and assistance with assigned pull systems.

Maintain master schedule, part masters and bills of material for parts and assemblies in assigned product groups.

Develop priorities and communicate with support functions while taking an active role in problem resolution as required.

Provide technical and administrative support to manufacturing. Develop and provide input to Manufacturing build plan.

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:

Bachelors degree or equivalent with 2+ years experience in a planning function. Purchasing experience preferred. Background in manufacturing and/or operations required.
