Our client is recognized as a leading manufacturer of high-quality products for wiring and communications applications.Responsible for purchasing contract and supplier management startegies/execution for an estimated $10 - $20 million dollars of goods or services and 20-50 contracts in area of specialization.Visit suppliers, learn their business, meet with vendors and work with internal purchasing agents and buyers.Up to 20% domestic and international travel may be required.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree in chemicals, plastics, or chemistry.
10+ years supply chain or procurement experience.
2 years experience with chemicals or resins.
CPIM desired.Preference for an engineer who has moved into purchasing.
