WaterSaver Faucet Co. manufactures specialized precision valves for science laboratories. We are a third-generation, family-owned company that has been in business for over sixty years. Our products are used all over the world and we are the worldwide leader in our industry.

Our headquarters and main manufacturing facility are located in a modern 80,000 square foot building north of downtown Chicago. This facility is easily accessed from the Kennedy Expressway (I90) and public transportation. We also operate a smaller, satellite facility in Monterrey, Mexico for manufacturing component parts.

The Position:
We require an experienced Purchasing Manager to oversee all phases of our purchasing function. This is a “two person department” consists of the Purchasing Manager and a Buyer/Expediter. The Purchasing Manager is responsible for the following activities:

•Identify, screen and qualify prospective vendors for all catagories of purchased materials and equipment on both a domestic and foreign basis;
•Solicit price quotations and negotiate terms of purchases, including freight, payment terms, etc.
•Oversee placement and monitoring of purchase orders to assure that production requirements are met;
•Resolve any problems or issues with vendors;
•Maintain purchasing database.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
We require a hands-on professional with initiative, drive and the ability to identify problems, think through options and implement solutions. Specifically, the ideal candidate for this position will have the following qualifications:

•College degree, preferably in Business and/or Operations.
•3+ years of experience in Purchasing or Materials Management in a manufacturing environment.
•Strong computer and communication skills.

This is an excellent position for a candidate seeking to move up from a Buyer or Purchasing Agent position to Purchasing Management.
