Purchasing Coordinator

We are currently accepting applications for the position of Purchasing Coordinator. This position will place all orders for all new and existing business locations. This person will also be responsible for processing project requests and field phone calls from all internal customers. They are responsible for all areas of administration of vendor and item database. Purchasing Coordinators will also monitor all purchase orders and ensure the occurrence, quality, and timeliness of product deliveries.
REQUIREMENTS
Major Tasks & Responsibilities:
Vendor negotiation for products, supplies, promotional items, services and support for all inventory stock, special order items, new and existing stores. Research new vendors for products, request quotes, analyze responses, select and implement products.Work with internal groups to identify and forecast ongoing technology needs and communicate to vendor sources. Research products availability for new endeavors.Examine current in-house procedures, identify and implement process improvements, providing documentation.Place orders, cut Purchase Orders, follow up on ETAs, obtain PODs and resolve discrepancies between OEMs, stores, internal departments and shipping companies.Research environment and requirements for copiers and fax machines, source vendors request product information, analyze and make recommendation or select. Vendor interface for all associate lease and maintenance agreements, defining terms.Computer skills, including Microsoft Office software knowledge and Access.Understanding of Purchase Order administration a plus.Communication and multi-tasking skills.Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must pass drug test and background check. Must pass pre-employment test if applicable.
